Create your first agenda

Start from a blank agenda, add your first activities with times and durations, and have something you can share within a few minutes.

A blank agenda is the fastest way to get your own plan into Agendaflow when you already know roughly what the session looks like. You name it, set the date, and add activities one by one; the timeline keeps the clock for you. If you would rather describe the session in a sentence and get a draft to edit, use the AI route instead — see Draft and edit an agenda with AI.

Before you start

You need an Agendaflow account and to be signed in. The dashboard is where every new agenda starts.

Steps

  1. On the dashboard, click Write it myself under the text field. On an account that already has agendas, the button in the top-right corner is New agenda and does the same thing.

  2. The builder opens on a new agenda called Untitled Session, with an empty day. Click the title at the top of the card and type your own.

  3. Click Set date next to the title and pick the day of the session.

  4. Click Add activity on the timeline. A block appears with the cursor in its title field, so type the name of the first activity straight away. The block starts at 09:00 and lasts 15 minutes.

  5. To start the day at another time, click the block's start time, type the new time and press Enter.

  6. Set the length: use the and + buttons next to the duration, or click the number and type it.

  7. Click Add activity again for each activity. Every new block starts when the previous one ends.

  8. Optional: click Add a description on a block to say what happens in it, and + Responsible to name who runs it.

  9. Watch the top bar: it shows Saving... and then Saved. There is no save button — every change is stored as you go.

When the day is filled, click Share in the top-right corner to send it on. The three tabs are Review link, Editor access and Participant link.

Tip: The arrow next to Add activity opens a menu with the other block types — Block, Group Work, Breakout and Segments / Stations — plus Paste an agenda, which turns an agenda you have in an email, a PDF or a slide into blocks on the day.

What to do next

Changing a block's duration does not move the blocks after it; the timeline shows Close gap or Push next blocks later between them so you decide. How start times, durations and locks work together is explained in Blocks, days and start times. When you want AI to fill in descriptions or restructure the day, see Draft and edit an agenda with AI.
